Although the next instalments of both Pro Evolution Soccer and Fifa might be some months off, we've had two big announcements from the world's biggest football sims over the past week.
From Electronic Arts, the news is that the realism in Fifa 14 (pictured) is being turned up, with a focus on midfield play rather than the 18-yard-box, bigger turning circles and new sprinting controls depending on individual skills.
Apparently, this will allow us to unleash our inner Messi; our creative playmaker to help sculpt goals (or not). Over at Konami, an agreement with the Asian Football Confederation means that the AFC Champion League - the 32-team tournament to decide Asia's greatest club team - will be incorporated into future versions of Pro Evo.
