Now you can watch timeless classics on the big screen and in the comfort of your own private 16-seat theatre room at the new Roxy Cinema in BoxPark.
The new luxury 5-screen cinema by Meeras opens to the public this week with a gourmet bistro and an in-house library stocked with cinema history and pop-culture books offering to cinephiles.
Channeling the retro era with posters of blockbuster Hollywood films right from he black-and-while period, velvet chairs, leather booths and boutique-style screens, the cinema will not only play the latest films but have a library of classics that can be rented out for a private screening.
The Bistro will have gourmet popcorn, hot dogs, rigatoni with beef ragout, dried tomato and basil pizza, sweet potato and garlic fires and sweet chilli and sesame chicken wings on the menu.
The screening rooms will have reclining seats with footstools, side tables, blankets and cushions for a grand night out at the cinema.
Film-goers can book a private screen to watch a classic film from the cinema’s library with the option of ordering in food and being able to pause the film to hold discussions.
