This morning, The National reports that
Meraas Development
is "moving ahead" with its signature project in Dubai. (
) You may recall the name Meraas from Cityscape Dubai last year, where they announced the Dh350bn (US$95.2b)
Jumeira Gardens
project. It turned out to be the last hurrah of the five-year property boom and the company disappeared as quickly as it had arrived.
Now, a year later, Meraas is planning to change the order of development and focus on select areas that could still sell in a slower market. And - surprise - that includes a manmade island off the shore of Dubai called East Bay Island where Meraas would build high end villas.
Tony Owen Partners
in Australia won a bid last year to design the villas. Here are three of the renderings for your viewing pleasure.
