Myriam Fares says she has no interest in appearing in TV talent show as a star judge.

The Lebanese singer, known for charm and honesty in her interviews, has been courted by a slew of television producers and broadcasters.

While she would not confirm whether offers came from the likes of ratings winners Arab Idol, Arabs Got Talent and The Voice, Fares coyly states the requests arrived from "many big and important talent shows.

“But I had to say no because at the current time my work doesn’t allow it. The thing with these TV shows is that it requires you to be in one place, in a specific country and to solely focus on the show,” she says.

“There maybe a time where I will be interested in doing something like this, where I would want to stop playing a lot of concerts or go on big tours. But not at the moment because I love being on the stage way too much. This is why you find me performing in a different city each week.”

The Mawazine Festival continues until May 28. For more details visit www.festivalmawazine.ma.
