Here's the first image released of Jerry Bruckenheimer's forthcoming remake of
The Lone Ranger
, due for release next year. While Armie Hammer (best remembered as those charming Winkelvoss twins in
The Social Network
) does a good Lone, Johnny Depp's Tonto is, well, er, it's just a bit too much Captain Sparrow, isn't it? Fingers crossed he doesn't spend the entire movie hamming it up in tribute to a wrinkly British rocker, because we've already had plenty of that.
