While the city went crazy for JLo last weekend while she was here as part of her Dance Again world tour, we hear that she quite enjoyed herself at the newly opened hotel Rixos The Palm, at the Palm Jumeirah, where she stayed during her stop-over. After her show, the gorgeous Latina hopped over to Rixos’ White X Beach Club for an after-party hosted by JLO herself in collaboration with Rixos hotels. The party started with a cocktail reception where she was presented a piece of Turkish heritage by Erkan Yildirim, vice-president sales marketing of Rixos Hotels, and Volkan Simsek, vice-president of operations. The precious piece of art is believed to be a rare piece from the Ottoman era and carries unique motifs of the Ottoman Empire. At the party itself, JLo fans got a chance to see the superstar up close and click pictures with her. Towards the end, the hotel management surprised her with a huge cake with her photo on it. Erkan Yildirim filled us in on what went on behind the scenes. "Jen was particularly impressed with the Turkish cuisine which is a specialty of the Rixos. So much so that she was given a one-on-one demonstration and cooking lesson in her suite. What a way to spend Thanksgiving Day: delving into Turkish cuisine with a panoramic view of the Dubai coast line." We hear that the hotel was also good fun for JLo’s kids Max and Emme who spent majority of their time at the hotel's signature kids club, Rixy Club. Thoroughly impressed by the service at this hotel, JLo expressed an interest in staying at other Rixos properties - particularly Rixos Premium Bodrum - which resulted in a personal invite from Yildirim who said that "It would be our utmost pleasure to host the JLo family in Turkey where they will live and witness the Rixos Hospitality one more time".
