Jerry Springer, the US TV talk-show host and all round bringer of peace to troubled familial waters, is set to try to work his calming magic on WWE’s warring, wrestling twins Nikki and Brie Bella.
The twins, who appear in the popular E! reality series Total Divas, have been at loggerheads since Nikki betrayed Brie at August's SummerSlam, attacking her and officially disbanding their tag team following an ongoing spat involving Brie and her husband, former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan, and fellow wrestler Stephanie McMahon, daughter of WWE chairman and CEO Vince McMahon and leader of The Authority – the evil stable of baddie wrestlers that also features Kane and Triple H, and possibly soon Nikki too.
Nikki won’t be turned to the dark side just yet though, if Springer gets his way. The legendary chat-show host and senior statesman of warring TV families says: “I will conduct an intervention with the Bella Twins in an effort to achieve sibling harmony.”
Unsurprisingly, the intervention will take place ringside in the season premiere of Monday Night Raw, which you can watch live on OSN Sports HD2 this Tuesday at 4am (repeated at 4pm and 9pm), or repeated on Mondays at 10pm on MBC2.
Monday Night Raw is the longest-running, weekly, episodic programme in US prime time TV history.
