Jackie Chan arrived in India last week to continue shooting his latest film <em>Kung Fu Yoga</em> , four months after wrapping up his UAE shoot in Dubai. Jaipur's Amer Fort was chosen as the setting for an action sequence with Indian actress Amyra Dastur. While in India, Chan has been spotted enjoying elephant rides and tucking into a paneer makhanwala. "He initially thought it was tofu, he loves our cottage cheese but he loves his chicken more," Dastur told the <em>Times of India</em> in an interview. The team will be shooting a small portion of a Bollywood-style dance sequence choreographed by Farah Khan in Jodhpur before returning to Beijing next week. <strong>John Favreau's Chef gets Bollywood remake</strong> Jon Favreau's 2014 indie-hit film, <em>Chef</em> , will soon get a "desi" twist with an Indian version of the film already in the making. It is reported that Saif Ali Khan will star in the remake as the main protagonist, and Favreau says he was impressed the makers didn't go "traditional Bollywood" for the remake. "I thought it was going to be a musical, but instead there is a grittier, more filmmaker-driven, smaller independent style of Indian filmmaking that has a tremendous amount of energy," he said. The original film follows a chef who sets out on a gastronomic adventure across the United States with a food truck after he loses his restaurant job. <strong>Priyanka Chopra in line for </strong> <em>Time</em> <strong>'s influencers list</strong> Actress Priyanka Chopra is among <em>Time</em> 's 127 contenders for its annual list of 100 Most Influential People. She joins India's prime minister, Narendra Modi, and tennis player Sania Mirza on the long list. While the final decision on who makes the cut will be made by <em>Time</em> 's editors and released next month, the publication has asked readers to vote for their choices. Chopra's career is going strength to strength: as well as being a leading Bollywood star she made a foray in Hollywood with leading roles in the televised drama series <em>Quantico</em> and will appear in the new TV remake of <em>Baywatch</em> . Also, Chopra may be away from home and her family, but that hasn't stopped her from celebrating the Hindu spring festival of Holi. The 33-year-old actress is currentlyt in the US shooting for the second season of her drama series Quantico. After wrapping up the shoot on March 24, she celebrated Holi on-set with Quantico's team in Montreal, Canada. Chopra posted a few pictures of the colourful celebrations on her Instagram, thanking the team for giving her a "home away from home."The photos were liked over a 100k times. - The National Staff <strong>U2 to receive award for innovation</strong> U2 will be honoured with the Innovator Award at this year's iHeartRadio Music Awards for their impact on popular culture and commitment to social causes. IHeartMedia announced on Friday that the special honour will be given to the rock band during the awards show in Los Angeles on April 3. The popular rockers are celebrating 40 years together this year and are known for supporting numerous charities and causes, including the ONE organisation and the (RED) brand campaign, both cofounded by Bono. The band is also nominated in the best tour category. <strong>Apple teams up with will.i.am for first in-house show</strong> Apple is working with musician will.i.am and two veteran television executives, Ben Silverman and Howard Owens, on home-grown production, an Apple spokesman has confirmed. Apple declined to reveal the title, financing, timeline, storylines, episode length or how people would be able to access the show. The new series did not signal a broader ambition to greatly bolster presence in original productions and streaming video, Eddy Cue, Apple's senior vice president of internet software and services, later told the <em>New York Times </em> in an interview. <strong>Batman v Superman stars respond to critics</strong> The cast of DC superhero epic <em>Batman v Superman</em> , which opened in UAE cinemas at the weekend, have responded to the film's mixed reviews in an interview with Yahoo Movies. The latest instalment attracted harsh criticism for being too dark, nihilistic and disjointed. Henry Cavill, who plays Superman, said: "What is going to really matter, I believe, is what the audience says, because they're the ones who are buying tickets, they're the ones who want to see more of this kind of story, or not.
