It’s Kids Fest at Global Village this February

From photos with their favourite cartoon characters to interactive shows and dance workshops, children will have their hands full at the Kids Fest at Global Village next month.

The multicultural festival park in Dubai has organised a series of activities to keep children engaged from February 5 to February 25.

While the parents shop at the various international pavilions, children can be dropped off for face painting sessions, balloon play and meet-and-greet with cartoon characters.

The special itinerary for children includes shows from Shaabiyat Al Cartoon and Globo, and a special edition of the dance show City Jam.

One of the biggest highlights at Kid Fest will be singing and dancing with the characters from the new cartoon movie Angry Birds. There will be an interactive show at Global Village's Roman Amphitheater with the main character from the famous Indian cartoon Chhota Bheem, as well. The Global Show Academy will also make a return to keep children occupied with interactive dance sessions and workshops, which will culminate into a finale performance at the main cultural stage.

The Global Show Academy will offer children several dance workshops every day, where many selected children will be invited to join performers from the entertainment team of Global Village on the main cultural stage for a finale performance.

The Dancing Fountain show will take place every day with international melodies. The Global Village fireworks show will also continue to take place during the Kids Fest on Thursdays and Fridays at 9pm.

Tickets to the park are from Dh15. The park is open from 4pm until midnight from Saturday to Wednesday and until 1am on Thursday, Friday and public holidays until April 8. For details, visit www.globalvillage.ae
