The UAE’s indie scene will lurch into edgy action in 2017 with the really-most-welcome return of alternative hip-hop icon Astronautalis.
The genre-bending American artist – think: rock riffs, glitchy grooves and joyous flow – will play for eclectic indie-mongers Bad House Party on January 12.
Hosted again at Dubai dive Casa Latina, Astro's first and last gig at the venue, in December 2015, was one of the year's most beautiful musical surprises. I wrote an embarrassingly giddy, adolescent blog about how good it was – "goosebump-tingling, awe-inspiring... a pretty darn hair-curling evening," apparently.
Suffice to say, if you missed out last time, you’re advised to attend. And if you were there, you know exactly what we’re talking about.
