Is the Gulf Bike Week having trouble selling concert tickets?

Promoters today placed an online SOS stating tickets for both concerts, held tonight and tomorrow at Dubai's Festival Park, have been slashed to half price.

This means you can kick off the festivities tonight with the legendary metal group Megadeth (supports are Absolace and Sandwash) with General Admission tickets as low as Dh150 and VIP tickets (including access to the fan pit) at Dh250.

It will be the same deal for the final concert on Friday night when the American rocker Daughtry headlines a bill including the UK’s Razorlight and Dubai’s own Juliana Down.

Perhaps the reason for the slow uptake of tickets is that petrol heads are saving their dirhams for the Abu Dhabi's F1 Grand Prix (November 4) which is already around the corner.

Either way, with such low prices to see some high-calibre bands it’s a bargain
