Gary Barlow wants Take That to perform in Dubai next year

The popular British band Take That could be coming to the UAE next year.

The suggestion was made by member and chief songwriter Gary Barlow, who is performing a solo gig at the Dubai Media City Ampitheatre on October 17.

In an interview with The National, the 43-year-old former British X Factor judge said he plans to use his upcoming UAE appearance as a reconissance mission for a possible Take That tour.

“I can’t wait to perform in Dubai,” he says. “I am going to take plenty of photos and document everything and bring it back to the boys in order to have the whole group back here next year.”

Barlow's performance caps off a near year long tour promoting his latest album Since I Saw You Last, which has sold more than 700,000 copies to become one of the top selling albums in the UK last year.

“I’m very excited to round off such an enjoyable tour in such an incredible and iconic destination,” he said.
