Fun times as Atlantis the Palm launches new temporary indoor games and entertainment arcade

Stuck for a way to keep the little ones occupied through the sweaty season? Help is at hand.

Atlantis the Palm has launched a temporary indoor games and entertainment arcade, packed with attractions guaranteed to keep little ones occupied for hours.

The Family Fun Factory features a range of video games, arts and crafts, and more. Set out in five themed “zones”, likely to prove most popular is the Arcade Zone, featuring games including Boxer Arcade and Speed Driver.

The neighbouring Redemption Zone is host to 30 skill-based games, with prizes on offer for top scorers. Also on offer are family favourites such as air hockey and free face paining for all.

And best of all, each attraction or game is included within the entry price of Dh75, allowing guests to get stuck in for hours at no extra expense.

But hurry – the temporary attraction will only remain open until August 31.

Operating hours are 3pm-10pm, with entry Dh75 per child aged 16 or under, including free entry for one adult per ticket.

WHAT ARE NFTs?

Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) are tokens that represent ownership of unique items. They allow the tokenisation of things such as art, collectibles and even real estate.

An NFT can have only one official owner at one time. And since they're minted and secured on the Ethereum blockchain, no one can modify the record of ownership, not even copy-paste it into a new one.

This means NFTs are not interchangeable and cannot be exchanged with other items. In contrast, fungible items, such as fiat currencies, can be exchanged because their value defines them rather than their unique properties.
