Five Dubai projects to look out for

Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park — phase 2. The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, which will have a generating capacity of 1,000 megawatts once its second phase is complete in 2017, will play a key role in enabling Dubai to meet its energy-diversification goals. Union Oasis Project. Designed to encourage the use of public transport, Union Oasis will sit on top of the Union Square Metro station in downtown Deira. This project will include 15,000 square metres of residential, commercial and retail space, plus landscapes and streetscapes. Mall of the World. More than just the largest mall in the world, Mall of the World will also house the world’s largest indoor theme park, 100 hotels and serviced apartment buildings with more than 20,000 rooms. Aladdin City. Are they coffee pots, incense burners or perfume bottles? No project sums up Dubai’s chutzpah quite like the Arabian Nights/Sindbad-inspired Aladdin City.
