Dishoom stars out and about in Abu Dhabi

The cream of Indian showbiz talent are now in Abu Dhabi to shoot the Bollywood film Dishoom, and local fans have been spotting the stars about town. Dishoom began its 40-day filming schedule at Yas Marina and on Thursday, Akshay Khanna was spotted on set and photographed by one Abu Dhabi resident who was there hoping to catch a glimpse of John Abraham.

Khanna is rejoining the movie industry after a five-year break, having last been seen on the big screen in Farah Khan's 2010 film Tees Maar Khan in which he played an actor pining for an Oscar.

Khanna was photographed on a jetty at Yas Marina, next to a luxury yacht on which scenes for Dishoom appear to have been shot. In another photograph which has surfaced on Twitter (courtesy of showbiz journalist Rahul Raut‏@Rahulrautwrites), the same yacht is shown with a a black cover draped across one side to allow filming to take part inside, and also with a giant white filming screen wheeled out alongside the sleek vessel.

Varun Dhawan, who is also in town for Dishoom, was asked to pose for the cameras with a family of fans at the marina of Abu Dhabi's Intercontinental Hotel.
