Louvre Abu Dhabi
, have built this place as a sort "light lab". The domed roof of the Louvre will have thousands upon thousands of holes in it in the shape of various patterns that will throw shards of light on the galleries, waterways and floors of the museum.

The roof of the "light lab" can rotate around to mimic different conditions and angles of the roof. This section is 1/110th the size of the actual 180 metre roof. There will be two five-layer sections that will only let in about 3 per cent of the light that hits the roof.
