Dangerous Encounters' Brady Barr comes to Al Ain

Even daredevil TV crocodile experts have to accept that none us is getting any younger.

Brady Barr, famous for grappling with some of the world's most terrifying reptiles on the Dangerous Encounters show, reflected on the ageing process during a visit to the UAE last week.

"I'll be 50 next month," he said. "I used to rarely get injured while filming with wild animals, but over the last three or four years, every year I've had a horrible, hospital-requiring, catastrophic injury.

"I don't think it's coincidence, it's my reaction times getting slower. I'm getting older and I have to be more careful. That is a concern moving forward."

Texan Brady, who met young fans at Al Ain Zoo during his trip, added: "For over 20 years I've worked with these kinds of animals. But now they're young and fast and I'm getting old and slow - not a good combination!"
