Conor Maynard to headline Etoiles F1 pop-up at Du Forum

Conor Maynard will celebrate his birthday onstage in Abu Dhabi.

The British pop star is one of a string of stars who will perform at Du Forum as part of the F1 festivities.

Beats on the Beach headliners Rita Ora, Tinashe and Miguel are also booked to play Project Etoiles Yas Island, a pop-up concept which will see the renowned Emirates Palace club invade Yas Island over the November 21-23 Grand Prix weekend.

Mssl Cmmnd — a duo featuring long-term Pharrell collaborator Chad Hugo, alongside Daniel Biltmore — will also play at the pop-up venue.

Maynard will turn 22 on Friday November 21, and is booked to perform at the 3,000 capacity venue on the same day.

“What better way to celebrate my 22nd birthday than in Abu Dhabi on the race weekend,” said Maynard. “It will be a birthday bash to remember. I’ll make sure of that.

“I can’t wait to celebrate with my fans in the Middle East.”

Maynard is best known for 2012 debut single Can’t Say No, and has become a worldwide sensation with more than two million likes on Facebook.

Also performing on Friday November 22 is US neo-soul singer Miguel and Dutch DJ Sidney Samson.

Saturday November 22’s concert will be headlined by dance-pop star Rita Ora, R&B singer Tinashe and Mssl Cmmnd.

Doors will open at 11pm each evening, with a casual dress code to suit race day revellers.

“This is a club for everyone, you welcome to come as you are already dressed. We have a relaxed vibe of a festival,” said Etoiles manager Naz El Masri.

“Our place for music lovers and partygoers to come together and enjoy three exclusive nights of intimate gigs with internationally renowned artists.”

Tickets, priced from Dh350, go on sale on Tuesday, November 11 at 9am at www.ticketmaster.ae, or are available at the ticket box office at the du Forum on the day
