Call of Juarez: Gunslinger
Ubisoft
PS3, Xbox 360, PC
Out later this year
It's fair to say that 2010's The Cartel wasn't the rootin' tootin' first-person shootin' addition to the Call of Juarez franchise that Ubisoft had hoped it would be.It was torn apart by critics and accused of being, among a number of things, rather racist.
Thankfully, Ubisoft is looking to make amends with Gunslinger, which drags the game back to its Wild West roots and tasks players with distributing "justice", albeit somewhat violently, by taking out the likes of legendary cowboys such as Billy the Kid, Jesse James and John Wesley Hardin.
The trailer looks immense. Let's just hope it's more The Good, the Bad and the Ugly than Blazing Saddle.
