Bollywood showbiz family Kapoors celebrate lux wedding at Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi was the luxury destination for another big Indian wedding this week. This time it was Bollywood royalty who were out in full force draped in traditional Indian sherwanis and lenghas for the wedding of Akshay Marwah, the brother of actor Mohit Marwah and friend to the stars. He is also the son of Sandeep Marwah, founder-owner of Noida’s Film City.

Bollywood actor and producer of the Hindi-version of 24, Anil Kapoor, daughters Sonam and Rhea, nephew Arjun Kapoor, brother Boney Kapoor and actress Sridevi were in attendance, the Indian Express reports.

Sonam Kapoor, who is known as a style icon in the Hindi film industry, took to Instagram to post her wedding attire from ceremonies that were held at Emirates Palace earlier this week.

The actress shows off two heavily sequined modern and traditional fusion attires designed by celebrity designer Anamika Khanna.

In a black and white Instagram post of the groom sitting on a horse today, the actress wrote: “@akshaymarwah22 … Life is so much better when you have someone who loves you and who you can love in return. I’m so proud of you that you had the courage to choose that.”
