File this under "ARE YOU KIDDING ME?" Early this week, Bill Murray showed up to the Cannes premiere of his new film Moonrise Kingdom dressed in plaid on plaid on plaid, all mismatched and at least two sizes too big. Granted, Murray reportedly had a grand time - dancing on the red carpet, blowing kisses to onlookers. But let's face it: this is a gimmick - and it's working. (Meanwhile, his director, Wes Anderson, gets it all right in that cream suit x checked shirt x striped tie combo. Clean and simple and just the right amount of risky. And he buttoned his jacket!)
