Popular Dubai beach bar Barasti is going undercover for summer. The Mina Seyahi hangout will host a massive indoor tent-like enclave over it’s entire “middle deck” – the main bit above the beach – so festivities can continue throughout the sweaty season.
Described grandiosely as the “the most ambitious outdoor undercover structure ever to hit Dubai”, construction is about to begin on the 40m x 30m glass “tent”, which will be chilled at a cool 22 degrees all summer long.
Basically, we reckon it’s a bit like all the football tents that popped up around town for the World Cup last year – without all that footie, that is.
However sports tournaments you can look forward to in coming weeks include Wimbledon Championships, The US Open and the Rugby World Cup – all of which will be screened live. Live music is also promised.
Stop by from June 4 to see the “tent” in action.
Barasti is at Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort and Marina. For more information head to barastibeach.com.
