Angelina Jolie granted Sarajevo citizenship

Angelina Jolie has thanked the people of Bosnia for making her an honorary citizen of Sarajevo. Her film In the Land of Blood and Honey was praised for drawing attention to the area. A ceremony was held last week at Sarajevo's National Theatre, where a recorded video message from Jolie was played. "I am so proud to be part of such an extraordinary part of the world and fellow citizen to the people I deeply admire," she said. * IANS

Mila Kunis stalker arrested

Mila Kunis called for the police after a middle-aged bearded man tried to get too close to her on Friday at her Beverly Hills gym. The suspect, whose identity was not disclosed, was arrested, reported E! Online. "The individual is affiliated with a stalking investigation," police told the website Daily Fill. Kunis reportedly retreated to her Range Rover after the officers took over, then emerged briefly to identify the man in custody.

Zac Efron looks to long-term career

The Lucky One actor Zac Efron said he deliberately avoided cashing in on his High School Musical success. "There were several avenues I could have gone down after, but I looked at the long-term. Jennifer Lopez told US Weekly it would be a "blessing" to be a mother again and that she is open to adopting a child with her current 25-year-old partner Casper Smart. Lopez said her four-year-old twins with her former husband Marc Anthony will join her on the road.

George Lindsey dies at age 83

George Lindsey, who spent nearly 30 years as the grinning Goober on The Andy Griffith Show and Hee Haw, died on Sunday after a brief illness. He was 83. Lindsey was the beanie-wearing Goober on The Andy Griffith Show from 1964 to 1968 and its successor, Mayberry RFD, from 1968 to 1971. He played the same jovial character - a service station attendant - on the variety show Hee Haw from 1971 until it went out of production in 1993. "America has grown up with me," Lindsey said in an Associated Press interview in 1985. "There's a residual effect of knowing I've made America laugh. I'm not the only one, but I've contributed something." He appeared in the films Cannonball Run II and Take This Job and Shove It, and his voice was used in the animated Walt Disney features The Aristocats, The Rescuers and Robin Hood. * AP
