Andrea Bocelli to start new world tour in UAE

Classical crossover star Andrea Bocelli will debut his new tour in the UAE. The Italian tenor will kick off his Cinema World Tour at Yas Island's du Arena on April 22. The all-seated concert is Bocelli's third appearance in the capital in seven years and will promote his 15th studio album, Cinema, a collection of film themes including Doctor Zhivago, The Godfather, Gladiator and Breakfast at Tiffany's. "With the album Cinema, I'm fulfilling a wish that I've harboured for decades," said Bocelli, who has sold more than 80 million records. He last visited the Emirates in 2013. Doc Brown and Stan Lee at Comic Con

Back to the Future star Christopher Lloyd and Marvel Comics legend Stan Lee are among the first guests confirmed for this year's Middle East Film and Comic Con. Lloyd, best known for playing Doc Brown alongside Michael J Fox, will sign autographs at the event, at the Dubai World Trade Centre from April 7 to 9. Lee, 93, is co-creator of superheroes such as Spider-Man, the X-Men, Hulk and Iron Man. He will answer questions from fans over a video link. Also appearing is Veronica Taylor, the voice actor behind the Pokémon TV cartoon's main character, Ash Ketchum, and Fabian Nicieza, co-creator of Deadpool, the irreverent Marvel Comics character now transferred to the big screen, starring Ryan Reynolds in the hit movie. Fifty Shades’ razzies haul

Fifty Shades of Grey triumphed on Saturday at Hollywood's hall of shame, the annual Razzies anti-awards show. The film took the Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Picture alongside superhero flick Fantastic Four. The adaptation of E L James's explicit novel also took home Worst Screenplay, Worst Actor for Jamie Dornan, Worst Actress for Dakota Johnson and Worst Screen Combo for the pair. Fantastic Four also bagged Worst Director for Josh Trank and Worst Remake, Rip-off or Sequel. – AFP

Posh Spice supports band’s reunion

Singer Emma Bunton says Victoria Beckham is "supportive" of a Spice Girls reunion – but won't take part in one. Bunton, 40, said Beckham did not mind a reunion for the group's 20th anniversary celebration going ahead without her, according to femalefirst.co.uk. "Obviously, it would be very different doing it as a four and it wouldn't be the same. But we all speak and we know that Victoria is so supportive – always has been and always will be," Bunton told The Sun newspaper. She denied rumours that Mel C did not want to take part in the reunion. "I speak to Mel C all the time and she feels exactly the same as us. Which is that [the anniversary] should be celebrated in some way," said Bunton. – IANS

Shraddha Kapoor on Forbes list

Actress Shraddha Kapoor says she is humbled to land a spot on the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list, and it is a motivating factor to push the envelope. “It has not been easy to reach this level in order to feature in this prestigious list of achievers. I am humbled and motivated to keep pushing myself,” said Shraddha. The 26-year-old star is the only Bollywood star on the list, which also features Indian cricketer Virat Kohli and international actor Liam Hemsworth. Shraddha features in the 2016 magazine issue, which features 300 promising young leaders from 10 sectors. It is her second time on a Forbes list – she ranked 57th on last year’s Forbes India Celebrity 100, with annual earnings of US$1.3 million [Dh4.8 million]. – IANS
