We've all got a few regrets. Personally, I should probably have gone to bed earlier last night. And I might have avoided heading back for seconds at the breakfast buffet this morning (those pesky hash browns were too good). But for the Italian screen icon Claudia Cardinale, her one main regret is an absolute corker.
In town to collect a Lifetime Achievement Award, the 74-year-old actress (who has all the cheerful energy of a small child) told us that one evening in the 1960s a certain Marlon Brando decided to make a late-night visit to her hotel room.
"He was my idol at the time," she says. "And he knocked on the door, and said 'You are an Aries, so am I'."
Brando's attempt at flirtation didn't pay off, and Cardinale closed the door on him.
"Afterwards I thought to myself, 'you are stupid!'," she laughs.
