Abu Dhabi Country Club opens 2,000 square metre Thalgo Spa

The Abu Dhabi Country Club has been undergoing some massive renovations in recent years, work that continues with the official launch of Thalgo Spa.

Billed as the “biggest spa in the Middle East” - a claim that has not been independently verified, although it is massive - the 2,000 square-metre space features 23 treatment rooms.

There are nine for men, eight for women and six for VIPs, with the spa menu offering a wide range of facials, soaks, scrubs and body treatments, including the region’s first Polynesian massage, the Mahanan.

Special touches include heated-tile relaxation beds for post-treatment rest and massage tables equipped with comfy memory foam.

The men’s spa, which at the country club has more traffic than the women’s section, has a Vichy shower table with five heads, enabling a massage to be given under warm streams of water.

Both the men’s and women’s sections feature an ice fountain, a sauna room and a steam room for two and more.

A dedicated boutique also stocks all the products from Thalgo, the French marine spa brand.
