Artisanal Chewing Gum Factory British whizz kids Bompas & Parr built their Artisanal Chewing Gum Factory at Whiteleys shopping centre in London. Now, they’ve brought that experience to Dubai, where guests can choose from and combine 200 familiar and unusual flavours, including iris, white truffle, tonic and curry, with a total of 40,000 flavour combinations. Ebon Heath The artist Ebon Heath, a Brooklyn native and Berlin resident, has created a mesmerising art piece that will be on display to the public for the first time this weekend. The metallic word cloud features intertwining spirals of laser-cut Arabic and English poetry that will be suspended by cable wires overhead. The words are from Kahlil Gibran’s poem On Beauty. Dubai Design District, or d3 as it’s abbreviated, is a purpose-built community design hub, located adjacent to the Business Bay area in Dubai, that is dedicated to promoting and nurturing emerging local talent. When completed it will provide a creative home to established international design, luxury and fashion brands complete with distinct public areas, unique street furniture, shaded walkways, as well as a creek-side esplanade, a pop-up shop area and an amphitheatre.
