Queer Eye's Tan France is teaming up with designer and model Alexa Chung to host a new fashion TV show set to air on Netflix. Next in Fashion will pit aspiring fashion designers against one another for the chance to win a $250,000 (Dh918,250) prize and the opportunity to debut their collection with luxury retailer Net-a-Porter. The group of 18 designers will take part in a number of challenges throughout the series, judged by France and Chung, alongside a number of special guest judges including Instagram's Eva Chen and celebrity stylist Elizabeth Stewart. The series is being touted as Netflix's first fashion show, and, unlike other fashion reality TV shows, the streaming service says the contestants are not amateurs, having all previously dressed A-list celebrities and worked alongside big name brands. While the contestants are yet to be revealed, both Chung and France have been promoting the show on social media, with a dedicated @nextinfashion account already active. An air date for the series has not yet been announced, but there will be ten episodes when it eventually does drop. “Me and my co-host, Alexa, cannot wait for you to see the show. We’re positive you’re going to LOVE it and the designers! Coming soon!” said France in an Instagram post. While Chung added: “Incredibly excited to be hosting Netflix’s first fashion show @nextinfashion alongside my new husband @tanfrance Coming soon!”
