Kuwaiti actor Mishari Al-Balam has been transferred to the intensive care unit of Kuwait's Jaber Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah Hospital after contracting Covid-19. According to Kuwaiti media, the <em>Maa' Hest Qalam</em> actor's health deteriorated after he contracted the virus late last week. Kuwaiti TV personality May Al-Aidan announced the actor's hospitalisation, writing that his health had suffered because of low levels of oxygen in his blood. Hypoxaemia is one of the more severe symptoms of Covid-19. "Your prayers to our brother, the artist Mishari Al-Balam," she wrote on her Twitter page on Saturday. Al-Balam posted a photo of himself on his Instagram account a few days ago, confirming that he had Covid-19. “Don’t forget me in your prayers,” he wrote. Fans and peers were quick to react to his post, wishing him a speedy recovery.
