Stars of the Turkish TV series Hareem Al Sultan will be walking the red carpet at Dubai's City Walk later this week.

Members of the cast will be in Dubai, where an exhibition featuring memorabilia from the show including costumes and accessories is being held.

Hareem Al Sultan: The Exhibition opened in April and runs through until the end of the year. Tickets cost Dh150.

Fans can expect to see award-winning Turkish-German actress Meryem Uzerli, who captivated audiences with her portrayal of Huyam Sultan from 2011 to 2014 as well as Burak Özçivit, who played the Ottoman military commander in the series.

Actress Meltem Cumbul who plays the Sultan’s sister, Fatma Sultan, will also be in attendance as well as the show’s producer Timur Savci, the founder of Tims Production, one of Turkey’s top production companies.

Loosely based on the reign of Suleiman the Magnificent, the 16th-century Ottoman sultan, the programme's four-season run – from 2011 to 2014 – was an immediate hit with regional viewers. Dubbed in the Syrian dialect and broadcast on OSN, the lavish costume drama can be best described as a blend of Downton Abbey's splendour, mixed with the drama and political intrigue of Game of Thrones.

The red carpet Hareem Al Sultan event will be held on Wednesday, November 23, from 7pm. Hareem Al Sultan: The Exhibition is open seven days a week at City Walk, from noon until 10:00pm. Tickets can be purchased at the venue, or online at www.ticketmaster.ae.
