RedfestDXB is not so much a music festival – but your favourite modern pop radio playlist coming to life. Once again, nearly a dozen popular acts will grace the stage to a passionate youthful crowd.

Thursday, February 6

11.45pm: Martin Garrix

It is a case of better late than never for fans of the Dutch DJ. They were disappointed when last year's Bao Festival in Dubai, which Garrix was set to headline, was scrapped. The good news is that he returns to the UAE fully recovered from a knee operation and with a batch of new tunes, including Hold On featuring Michael Zitron.

10.35pm: Young Thug

A seasoned rapper and unlikely hip-hop fashion icon, Young Thug has been one of the leading names of the trap/hip-hop wave that's leading the charts alongside Travis Scott and Migos. Expect big cheers for signature tracks including Best Friend and Lifestyle.

9.15pm: Bastille

The British electropop group and perennial UAE favourites return for another one of their storming sets. With hits Pompeii, Happier and Of the Night, Bastille are renowned for delivering a high-energy concert.

8pm: Raye

The British RnB singer has transitioned from sought-after songwriter to star in her own right. She'll take to the stage with a string of her own radio-friendly anthems including Hotbox and Decline, as well as high-profile collaborations Be Your Side with Jonas Blue and Stay with David Guetta.

Friday, February 7

10.15pm: Stormzy

The festival's biggest draw. British grime star Stormzy will not only perform his biggest show in the Emirates to date, but his RedFestDXB set will launch his global tour, which will take him to 53 cities around the world. We can expect the rapper to be psyched and raring to go.

8.45pm: Machine Gun Kelly

The US rapper has been making waves on and off the charts. In addition to his successful 2015 album General Admission, Kelly has made equal fans and detractors as part of his feud with superstar rapper Eminem. It will be interesting to see if Kelly performs his popular Eminem diss track Rap Devil in Dubai.

5.30pm: Becky Hill

With her voice dominating pop radio airwaves over the years, it is now time to see whether Becky Hill can replicate those cool and catchy sounds on stage. The US singer will make her UAE debut on the back of her album Get to Know, which features her hit collaborations with artists including Wilkinson, Sigala and Jonas Blue.

RedFestDXB will be held at the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre on Thursday to Friday. Doors open at 7pm on Thursday and 4pm on Friday. Tickets are from Dh395. More information, including the full line-up and links to sites selling tickets, is available at www.redfestdxb.com
