One of Miami’s top music festivals has announced it is coming to Abu Dhabi for the first time next year. Ultra Music Festival is one of the biggest dance music festivals in America’s calendar, and it’s set to take place in the capital on Thursday, March 5 and Friday, March 6, 2020. Founded in Miami in 1999, Ultra Music Festival has seen the likes of Marshmello, Deadmau5, The Chainsmokers, Carl Cox and David Guetta perform. The festival holds franchise events around the world and has previously visited Mexico, Singapore, Brazil, South Korea and South Africa. The Abu Dhabi version of Ultra will be part of this franchise. While the venue for the festival is yet to be announced, the event has confirmed it will be held outdoors. More information about tickets and the line-up are set to be announced over the coming months. It is not the first major dance music festival to hold events in the capital. Earlier this year, Sunset Festivals took place on Al Maya Island, while in the past Creamfields and Tomorrowland have hosted Abu Dhabi editions.
