Pop star Nick Jonas has said he could see himself making a stop in the UAE.
He was motivated to make the trek after listening to his brother's Dubai escapades when he performed with the group DNCE last October. With a new album to come out later in the year, not to mention his upcoming star role in Jumanji: Welcome to The Jungle (alongside Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Kevin Hart), Jonas can see himself in the UAE to promote either one of these projects.
“I would love to go and very soon. I was kind of jealous and mad that Joe went,” he said before his performance as part of the Mawazine Festival in Morocco last Thursday. “But I am in an exciting moment where with my acting projects and the new music I am doing, there is a unique opportunity to have these two cross together and play shows and do promotions in areas where I never been.”
Jonas also expressed his gratitude for being nominated for a CMT Music Award. His collaboration with Thomas Rhett, Close, received a nod for Performance of The Year.
“I am blown away,” he said. “I love country music. I grew up in New Jersey and Texas and I had many times where country music has been a huge inspiration for me. I am excited for that and hopefully we can win.”
