Pop fans, prepare to start spinning around with the news that Kylie Minogue is coming to the UAE's shores. The long-standing music star will take to the stage at this year's Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens, which takes place in December. The <em>Can't Get You Out of My Head </em>hitmaker and former <em>Neighbours </em>actress will perform on Friday, December 6, bang-smack in the middle of the sporting weekend, which will be held between Thursday, December 5 and to Saturday, December 7. This year's edition marks the 50th anniversary of Dubai's Rugby Sevens tournament, held at The Sevens Stadium on Al Ain Road. Minogue, 51, is expected to treat concertgoers to a medley of her best-known hits, which could include <em>Slow</em>, <em>On a Night Like This</em> or <em>All the Lovers</em>. In fact, the Melbourne-born star has a huge back catalogue to choose from when it comes to setting a playlist, as she boasts a 30-plus year music career which launched in 1987 with her cover of<em> The Locomotion.</em> To date, Minogue has sold more than 80 million records worldwide, with a string of number ones singles in the UK and her native Australia, such as <em>I Should be So Lucky</em> and <em>Slow</em>. The Grammy winner's latest album, <em>Golden</em>, was released in 2018, and she's due to unveil a greatest hits compilation later this month. Music aside, Minogue has also appeared in films such as 2001's <em>Moulin Rouge!</em> and has appeared as a judge on <em>The Voice UK</em> and <em>The Voice Australia</em>. She last performed in the UAE in 2015, where she made an appearance at the Dubai World Cup; she also headlined the first night of 2012's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix after-race concerts. Tickets for the Friday and Saturday, which includes access to the sporting event for the whole two days plus Minogue's show, costs Dh500, or Dh600 if purchased on the day.
