Hussain Al Jassmi and Tamer Hosny to give New Year's concert in Abu Dhabi

Emirati singing star Hussain Al Jassmi and Egyptian music sensation Tamer Hosny will be the lead acts to ring in the New Year at special concerts on Abu Dhabi's Breakwater at the Corniche.

Al Jassmi and Hosny will headline the closing of a four-day New Year's celebration. Organised by The Department of Culture and Tourism, the capital's corniche will be transformed into the Emirate’s first-ever New Year’s Eve Countdown Village featuring three stages, a retail zone, F&B area, roaming entertainers, spectacular firework displays and a New Year’s Eve countdown timer.

“We are thrilled to be bringing Hussain Al Jassmi and Tamer Hosny to lead our New Year’s Eve celebrations,” commented Sultan Al Dhaheri, Executive Director, Tourism Sector, Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi. “Such a high calibre of artists, together with a diverse programme of events and activities lined up at the Village, reaffirms Abu Dhabi’s position as a leading destination for celebration and unmatched entertainment. We look forward to welcoming residents and visitors to Abu Dhabi for what is sure to be an exceptional outdoor experience during our most enjoyable climate.”

The Village will also feature a New Year wishing wall, where visitors can write their dreams and wishes for 2018 on special cards. People can also send virtual wishes by sharing their New Year’s wish on Instagram using the hashtag #ADconfettiwish.

Tickets for the New Year's Eve Countdown Village, taking place from Thursday, December 28 until Sunday December 31 will go on sale on December 10 and will be available at Platinumlist.net
