Filipino stars Bamboo and Barbie will perform a free gig in Dubai

Filipino stars Bamboo Manalac and Barbie Almalbis are coming to Dubai for a free concert. The duo will perform at Dragon Mart 2 on October 12 at 7.30pm.

Bamboo is a Filipino-American singer-songwriter who has also been dubbed the "Prince of Rock" by his fans. He rose to fame as the lead singer of Rivermaya but he later went on to pursue a solo career after releasing his first solo album No Water, No Moon. He's no stranger to the UAE as he's performed numerous times in the Emirates over the years.

Barbie was the lead singer of Hung Young Poets and Barbie's Cradle and began pursuing a solo career in 2005. She released her self-titled compilation album Barbie: The Singles that year. She released her debut album Parade in 2006.

The duo will perform hits from their own albums as well as an eclectic collection of past rock and pop songs.
