K-pop fans, mark your calendars. Some of Korea's biggest pop stars are on their way to Dubai as part of SM Town Live World Tour VI, which will be held at the Autism Rocks Arena from 6pm to 10pm on April 6. Tickets are now on sale at <a href="http://platinumlist.net">platinumlist.net</a> with prices starting at Dh375. The performers set to appear include Kangta, BoA, Super Junior, Girls’ Generation, SHINee, Exo, Red Velvet, Trax, and Henry. The concert will be a mix of individual band performances and some duet acts. The detailed running order of the show will be released closer to the event. The first SM Town Live started in 2008 and was held in major cities including Seoul, New York, Los Angeles, Paris, Tokyo, Beijing, Shanghai, Bangkok and Singapore. "Korean pop music has grown in popularity at an astonishing pace and has a massive appeal around the world. We look forward to welcoming fans from around the world here to experience the infectious brand of music that is K-pop in all its glory right here in Dubai," said Mohammed Khammas, chief executive of Al Ahli Holding Group, parent company of 117 Live. One example of the widespread appeal of K-pop in the Middle East came when popular boy band Exo visited Dubai in January. Their hit song <em>Power</em> became the first Korean pop song to be added to the Dubai Fountain list of melodies. However, Exo isn’t the only act with a huge fan base heading to Dubai. BoA, one of the top female artists in Korea, will also be appearing. She is the first Korean artist to achieve more than a million in sales and the first to enter Billboard 200 when she did so in 2009. This isn't the first time K-pop stars have descended on the UAE.
