You probably haven't heard of Tom Dibb. Yet the 27-year-old singer-songwriter is slowly building a name for himself in his native Britain.
After extensively touring his home country, he's bringing his laid-back, acoustic guitar musical stylings to the UAE with a series of gigs in Caffè Nero coffee shops.
Dibb has been on the road in the UK for the past five years. He actually lives in his Volkswagen Camper van, in which he travels from music festival to music festival to perform.
"It's a nice life. I just rock up at these festivals in my van, get out my guitar and play some tunes," he explains.
Dibb, who cites musicians such as Bob Marley, Counting Crows and David Gray as influences, says his songs are "an expression of my experience of people, situations, places, society, growth as an individual and emotions felt and displayed as a result of all these experiences".
On his tour to the UAE, where he will be accompanied by the percussionist Josh Roberts, he'll be promoting his new EP Boy from Slough. He won't, however, be journeying to this country in his trusty Camper van.
Dibb and Roberts play Caffè Nero at Abu Dhabi Mall tonight at 7pm; DIFC tomorrow at 5.30pm; The Dubai Mall on Thursday at 8pm; Dubai Marina Mall on Friday at 6.30pm; and Mirdif City Centre on Saturday at 7pm
