Beloved Indonesian singer Didi Kempot has died aged 53. He passed away at Kasih Ibu Hospital in Surakarta, Central Java, on the morning of Tuesday, May 5, <em>The Jakarta Post </em>reports<em>.</em> Divan Fernandez, a representative from the hospital, said: "He was unconscious upon arrival [at the hospital]." The cause of death is not yet clear. In April, Kempot organised a Covid-19 relief concert, to raise money for those who have lost their jobs amid the pandemic crisis. The concert, which aired on Kompas TV and online on Saturday, April 11, raised 5.3 billion Indonesian rupiah (Dh1.2 million) with donations from more than 30,000 donors. Kempot is known for his ballads and singalong hits, including <em>Pamer Bojo, Ambyar </em>and<em> Layang Kangen. </em>
