American pop star Anastacia cancels Dubai show due to cancer

The American pop singer Anastacia has cancelled her show at the Dubai World Cup after being diagnosed with breast cancer.

The 44-year-old will cancel all appearances, including an upcoming European tour, according to a statement released on Thursday by her management.

Anastacia, who has had multi-platinum album sales in Europe, Australia and elsewhere, was scheduled to perform on March 30 at the Dubai World Cup, the world's richest horse race.

Her European tour was set to begin in London on April 6.

Anastacia, who is famous for her hit song, Paid my Dues, successfully battled breast cancer in 2003.
