A fire broke out on the Mumbai set of India Poochega Sabse Shaana Kaun?, an upcoming game show hosted by Shah Rukh Khan that will air on Monday, March 2 on the new Hindi entertainment channel &TV.
SRK was filming with Bollywood directors Farah Khan and Karan Johar, and actors Alia Bhatt and Anushka Sharma, when a generator went up in flames after a power outage. No one was hurt and "no major loss occurred", The Indian Express reported.
Khan later took to Twitter to thank his celeb friends (with a veiled reference to the fire): “Thank you again .... Want to share that the heat at rk studio tonight was from the warmth of the four friends who came on sabse shaana kaun. Grateful ... forever!”
India Poochega Sabse Shaana Kaun? is based on Who's Asking, a game show that originated in Israel.
“This show will deal with questions that have been asked by the common man and will be answered by the common man himself to win the prize money,” says Khan. “The questions will be those which people think are easy to answer or sometimes don’t even think about. Many people have different questions to ask. I will just make sure the show is a lot of fun. I like the question and answer format. I do that with my children and family.”
Khan, who will turn 50 in November, started out in the late 80s as an actor in the television drama series Circus, before turning to a career in Bollywood.
The superstar has made frequent appearances on the small screen. In 2007, he took over the third season of the wildly popular game show Kaun Banega Crorepati?, after original host Amitabh Bachchan fell ill and opted out. Bachchan returned for the fourth season and has remained with the show ever since. Khan has also hosted Kya Aap Paanchvi Paas Se Tez Hain and Zor Ka Jhatka.
