Zac Efron has offered the first glimpse at his latest film project, which was shot in Dubai alongside Jessica Alba. The star was first rumoured to be working on a project with the Honey actress in January, after he was spotted in the emirate. Images circulated on social media showed the suited actor surrounded by film crews on the beach in Jumeirah, close to the Burj Al Arab. At the time, Efron did not confirm why he was in Dubai, but he has now offered a look at what he was working on, posting a behind-the-scenes still to his Instagram account. The image shows Efron and Alba driving together in a black 4x4, while a cameraman captures footage. “She drives, I pick the playlist #comingsoon,” the caption reads. While little information about the project has been revealed, Efron did confirm it was under the direction of Craig Gillespie. The Australian director has worked on films including I, Tonya and, most recently, Cruella. Sharing the same image to her Instagram account, Alba wrote: “I drive him around, he drives me crazy …” It is not yet known when the project will be released, but it is not the only coming film in which the UAE will make an appearance. After several pandemic-related delays, Mission: Impossible 7 will finally be released in May 2022, with Abu Dhabi set to play a starring role. Scenes for the film starring Tom Cruise were filmed in the Abu Dhabi desert, at Louvre Abu Dhabi and in helicopters flying above the capital.
