Sikka Art Fair is spreading its wings. The community art event, which happens every March in tandem with Art Dubai and the larger Dubai Art Season has announced that of next year, they will launch two new initiatives. Sikka around the City will engage different neighbourhoods in Dubai with pop-up art concepts for which artists and galleries participating in the fair will be invited to contribute their talents to. Sikka Art Van will be a mobile-art space traveling to different districts to present exhibitions and art workshops. Lastly, Al Fahidi Fridays will focus on highlighting Al Fahidi Historical District as a year-round regular artistic and cultural centre. These new initiatives reflect Dubai Culture’s commitment to contributing towards establishing Dubai as a city of happy, creative and empowered individuals, by providing an increasingly engaging cultural environment to inspire and raise the positive spirit in Dubai.
