From Da Vinci to Damien Hirst the art at the UK’s Chatsworth House is a jawdropping collection from over five centures. It is the official seat of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire as has been home to the Cavendish family since 1549. Although many of us here in the UAE may not have seen the Devonshire collection at Chatsworth House, we can now get an insight into it through a new 13-part web-series, produced by Sotheby’s.
This trailerwill give you an idea of what the series will contain and the first episode is now online. It covers the fascinating story of Lucian Freud's relationship with the Cavendish family.
The series is presented by Huntsman and produced by Chrome Productions and explores the diverse works of art in the Devonshire Collection with insight into their history and significance from the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, curators, keepers and contemporary artists such as Michael Craig-Martin and Jacob van der Beugel.
