Galleries Week kicks off tonight in Abu Dhabi and as well as the chance to get your hands on some afforable art from some of the leading galleries in the region, there is also a really great line up of performances on the roster.
Soul and funk outfit Abri and Funk Radius will be playing Thursday (April 13) from 7.30-10pm and it is likely they will seduce their audience with their usually faultless performance. Also, as they released their first ever single this week by dropping it on their Facebook page, fans can look forward to hearing that, among other favourites from one of the UAE’s coolest home-grown bands.
On Friday (April 14) the rock and roll, funk and blues band Carl and Reda Mafia will take to the stage followed by the Sima Dance Company from Syria on Saturday (April 15). The variety of the performances mean there is something for everyone on show.
Be sure not to miss the final act from Adam Baluch, the performer who plays the keyboard, guitar and trumpet, with a soulful poppy flavour, bound to please the crowds.
Galleries Week runs until next Wednesday at Warehouse 421, Abu Dhabi. www.warehouse421.ae
