Camille Zakharia show opens tonight in DIFC

I’m looking forward to seeing the new art shows opening up in the DIFC galleries tonight. One show I’m particularly looking forward to is Camille Zakharia at Cuadro. Zakharia is a Lebanese photographer who has established his practice out of Bahrain where he lives and works.

He uses his camera to document the journey he has taken since his departure from Lebanon. In this show, Out, Then, he will use photo-montage, collage and print to show his encounters with people and places, exteriors and interiors.

What I like about it is that as well as the documentary style, he has included a series of much more abstract works, which always charm me as a viewer.

I will bring you more after I see the show.
