BTS fans have never been shy to express how they feel about the K-pop superstars. And now, the BTS UAE Army is working on a new project in hopes of getting the attention of one of the world’s biggest bands. Titled BTS Meets Street Arts in the UAE, the fan group is collaborating with Springs 15 to launch an art exhibition that pays tribute to BTS and will be on display in locations and attractions around the UAE starting on March 25. Inspired by the global project Connect, BTS in 2020, as part of which local artists and curators around the world connected, shared and exchanged messages through different art forms in connection with the band's music, BTS Meets Street Art in the UAE will also gather local artists to create art pieces inspired by the K-pop group. The first monument will feature works from the artist duo Kids of Arabia and can be viewed at Jumeirah Beach during the Beach Canteen Festival. The monument will then move around in the UAE, although those locations have yet to be revealed. The seven-member band has been on a meteoric rise in the past couple of years and have toured the world. They last performed in Abu Dhabi in 2016 as part of KCon and performed in Saudi Arabia in 2019. While they've had to postpone their tour dates because of the pandemic, fans are hoping once they're able to tour again, they'll consider a stop in the region. “We intend to bring BTS to perform in the Middle East. We want them to notice that they are very much loved in the UAE as much as they are loved in America, Europe, Japan and other parts of the world. We are calling all Armys to support the BTS Meets Street Art in the UAE project,” says Elareese Ramos, a BTS UAE administrator. More information on the project is at www.springs15.com Scroll below to see a gallery of BTS through the years:
