What We’re Loving: Hi Brow by Lash Perfect treatment at Sisters Beauty Lounge, Abu Dhabi

I never gave much thought to my eyebrows until recently, when a situation was drawn to my attention during a recent threading session.

The plain-talking therapist stopped her work, tut-tutted and said “thinning here and here and here”, pointing at my brows like I was somehow to blame. It’s true: my eyebrows are not what they once were. Whatever the reason, eyebrows are the “frame of the face”, and so I realised it was time to seek help. Although I have plans to try one of the brow-enhancing serums that are now on offer locally, for starters I opted for the Hi Brow by Lash Perfect treatment offered at Sisters Beauty Lounge in the St Regis, Abu Dhabi.

Although I feared leaving with thick dark brows that might scare people, given my fair complexion, in reality they have never looked so good - or been so attended to. Over the course of an hour, my therapist coloured measured, waxed, threaded, tweezed, trimmed and filled: nine steps in all, with a smooth wax finish marking the tenth. The therapist did placate my too-dark fears by leaving the dye on for a shorter time that usual and as promised, in the end they were the perfect shade.

I was absolutely thrilled with the result. My only hesitation is that it took more than a half-hour for all this effort and I’m not sure I have the time that a regular Hi Brow treatment would require. But I sure did like the result - which lasted for about a month.
