Engagement rings and desirable diamonds aside, Tiffany & Co is also known for its window displays, which juxtapose its precious collections with creative symbols and artwork. This Ramadan, for a second year in a row, Tiffany boutiques across the UAE will pay homage to the holy month.
The window displays take the form of Arabesque mosaics, which display fanous lanterns and intricate calligraphy. These are put together in Tiffany blue settings and resemble artistic impressions of the Brooklyn Bridge or Empire State Building, or frame the skyline of Manhattan – in a bid to reference New York, Tiffany’s city of origin, as well as to create a symbolic meeting of East and West.
Jewels from various Tiffany collections, including the HardWear, Tiffany T and Paloma Picasso Melody lines, twinkle alongside the Arabian windows, beckoning visitors in with their scintillating creativity.
Previous iterations of window displays by Tiffany & Co include: snow-filled streets; pastel parasols; a Great Gatsby-themed set-up; a colourful secret garden; paper art; and miniature furniture.
