La Femme Bonbon, or The Candy Lady, the spring/summer 2017 collection by Mira Hayek is now available at Sauce stores in the UAE. The eponymous Beirut-based label, founded by ready-to-wear designer Mira Hayek, has been spotted on Dubai's Fashion Forward and London's International Fashion Showcase runways in the past, and the former Elie Saab intern was also nominated for the International Woolmark Prize in 2015 and 2016.
Known for her geometric motifs, Hayek’s latest collection draws inspiration from the playful world of bonbons and candied treats. Loose silhouettes and geometric patterns are complemented by ripple accents and punchy colourblocks. An asymmetric skirt comes with a two-toned wave pattern, while a white dress stands out with bright wrappers of fabric from waist to knee. From an evening dress in rippling cherry red to a coordinated light lilac top and trouser set, the collection is at once sporty and feminine, and will make for a great addition to an easy-breezy summer wardrobe.
Mira Hayek's spring/summer 2017 collection is available in-store at Sauce boutiques in Marina Mall, Abu Dhabi, and The Dubai Mall and Village Mall in Dubai, and retails for between Dh1,000 and Dh3,000.
